Energy and emissions

The data centre is intended to receive power directly from a new natural-gas plant. The plant can also connect to Alberta's grid, and Bitdeer says compute could be curtailed so electricity can be exported during grid stress.

Important distinction: The 101.133 MW plant exists principally to supply the co-located computing facility. A 99 MW grid interconnection does not mean the data centre will normally draw 99 MW from the grid.
